Describe more than the model name
“Ford F-150” or “Chevrolet Silverado” is a starting point, but it does not describe the whole truck. Note the cab style, bed length, engine, drivetrain and trim if you know them. If you are unsure, say so rather than guessing.
Different configurations suit different buyers. Clear information gives a dealer a better basis for asking follow-up questions. It does not guarantee a particular price or that every buyer will be interested.
- Year, model, trim and mileage.
- Regular, extended or crew cab, and bed length if known.
- Engine and two-wheel or four-wheel drive, if known.
- Aftermarket equipment, modifications and known issues.
Show how the truck has been used
Photograph the bed, cabin, wheels and exterior in daylight. Include visible wear rather than hiding it. Describe known towing or work-related wear factually; do not claim a capacity or equipment rating you have not checked.
A clean interior and clear photos can make condition easier to assess, but spending on major repairs before an offer is a separate decision. Ask prospective buyers how a disclosed issue affects their interest before assuming an expense will be recovered.
Compare the final conditions
As with a sedan or SUV, ask whether a pickup quote is conditional on inspection, what paperwork the buyer needs and how payment and collection will work. Record the conditions alongside the amount.
If you already have an offer, keep its date and terms. A higher number based on different assumptions is not automatically a better deal. You remain free to decline an offer that does not work for you.
Request local dealer offers through Carblanche
The Carblanche Orange County pilot includes pickup trucks as well as sedans and SUVs. Examples include Ford F-150, Chevrolet Silverado and Chevrolet Colorado; eligibility depends on the actual vehicle, not the model name alone.
Vehicles must be paid off, have a clean title, run and drive, and have an asking price of $20,000 or less. Share basic details to start. Our team reviews your request and helps coordinate the next steps; dealer offers and a higher sale price are not guaranteed.
