Check what the number actually means

An online estimate, a quote based on your description and an offer after inspection can represent different stages. Before choosing, ask the buyer to explain the amount and its conditions in writing. This checklist is useful whether you approach a dealer directly or ask Carblanche to help request offers.

  • 1. Is this an estimate or an offer to purchase?
  • 2. What inspection or document checks remain?
  • 3. When does the offer expire, and what could change it?

Confirm what you would receive and how

Compare the amount you would receive after disclosed deductions, not just the largest headline price. Ask who purchases the car and who sends payment. A screenshot or notification alone is not a reason to release keys or ownership documents.

  • 4. Are there any fees, deductions or transport costs?
  • 5. What payment method will the buyer use, and how will I verify payment?

Agree on the handover before arranging it

Inspection visits and collection after a sale are different appointments. Confirm who attends, where the vehicle goes and which steps must be complete before it is released. Requirements depend on the buyer and the transaction; ask for clarification when anything is unclear.

  • 6. Who arranges collection or delivery, and when?
  • 7. What documents are required, and how should I provide them securely?

Use a second option to make a clearer decision

If you already have an offer, record its amount, date and conditions. You can request another option before deciding, provided you have not made a conflicting commitment. Carblanche cannot promise to beat an existing offer.

For eligible Orange County vehicles, start with year, make and model. Our team reviews the request and discusses the steps to seek local dealer offers. Submitting the request is not an agreement to sell.
