Start with the same vehicle information

A useful comparison starts before you look at the dollar amount. Give each buyer the same year, make, model, trim, mileage and description of condition. Include known damage or mechanical issues. A quote based on incomplete information is harder to compare with an offer made after an inspection.

Keep a simple record of who made each offer, when it was issued and what information the buyer used. If your mileage or condition changes, tell the buyer before arranging a handover.

Put the conditions next to the price

The highest headline number may still depend on an inspection or document review. Ask whether the amount is an estimate or a purchase offer, how long it remains available and what could cause it to change. Do not assume different buyers use the same terms.

  • Record the offered amount and any stated fees or deductions.
  • Ask whether another inspection is required.
  • Confirm where the car must be taken and who arranges collection.
  • Ask how payment will be made and when it can be verified.

Compare the work involved, too

Your time matters. A private listing means managing inquiries and appointments yourself. A direct dealer offer lets you speak to a buyer directly. A coordinated service can help request offers and organize follow-up, but you should still understand the purchasing dealer’s conditions.

Choose the route that fits your priorities: price, convenience, timing or the amount of support you want. No route can promise the best result for every car.

Where Carblanche fits

Carblanche helps Orange County owners request local dealer offers and compare available options. Start with year, make and model, then add location, mileage and a way for our team to reach you. Your phone and email are not distributed in initial dealer outreach.

Our current pilot is for paid-off, clean-title cars, SUVs and pickups that run and drive, with an asking price of $20,000 or less. There is no seller commission during the pilot and no obligation to sell. An offer, multiple offers or a higher price is not guaranteed.
